Today, we commemorate the glorious 48-year journey of our esteemed association, founded on this very day, the 26th of September 1975. It is indeed a privilege to address you all as the Chairman of this esteemed association, on this day that holds a special place in our hearts, coinciding with the Eve of World Tourism Day. I would like to express my gratitude to all our senior leaders, former Chairmen, esteemed members, partners, and supporters for their invaluable contributions over the years, instrumental in our success. 

Under the theme "Tourism and Green Investment," UNWTO emphasizes the imperative for more and better-targeted investments in support of people, the planet, and prosperity. We take pride in recognizing the commendable efforts of certain exemplary members within our   association, including establishments as; Tiger Mountain Pokhara Lodge, Community Homestay Network, Rural Heritage, and Nepal Yoga Home, among many others, which have undertaken remarkable sustainability initiatives and played a pivotal role in empowering local communities.

As Chairman of PATA Nepal Chapter, I hereby pledge our commitment and extend an invitation to all our esteemed members and industry stakeholders to join hands with us in actively promoting and participating in sustainable and responsible tourism practices. Our journey over the past 48 years has been filled with challenges and triumphs, but it's the passion and dedication of our members and partners that have propelled us forward. As we look to the future, we are committed to embracing our advocacy roles and engaging in innovative events and programs to support our members in building their businesses, networks, people, brands, and insights, while promoting sustainable and responsible tourism development 
in Nepal.
